Necessity

I think that everyone needs at least one leather jacket in their wardrobe. They go with everything, and they only get better with age. You fall in love with your leather jacket and it becomes a very precious piece of your wardrobe. If you don't have one, get one, and then rock the shit out of it. Tan city's waiting for you.

I love glass water bottles, aren't they pretty? I think so. When you drink from them they create this sensation that you just can't get from a plastic bottle. Better for the environment too. And you can re-use them, for more water, hand cream, flowers, that sort of thing. So drink up.

Florence

Have you seen Florence and the machine live yet? You must. No really. She's amazing on stage. Such a good performer, and so cool that it will make you want to be her and feel immediately self conscious about your ability to sing. I saw them live for the first time at the laneway festival and was immediately hooked. You will be too. Bird Song, Howl, Cosmic Love, Dog Days, Rabbit Heart, are just a few of the golden tracks that this band produces. July 29th in Aucks. So there.

 

Carmen

Carmen Kass would have to one of my favourite models of all time. She is so naturally beautiful and effortless looking and is still, in her 30s, working some of the top runway shows and featuring in major campaigns. She seems ageless and in the modeling industry, that seems hard to come by.

This Narciso rodriguez perfume campaign is one of my favourite images of Carmen.

It's Saturday morning. Last night I went and watched Mad Pattern. They're pretty awesome. We always have a good time when we go and watch them. I have this rad fish eye lens that I found at my Nana's house but I don't have a camera that fits it. I need a good camera. So right now I settle for my 2 year old digital camera and hold the lens in front of it. Sometimes you get some pretty good pics.

The Kills. They get me everytime. And their music is awesome. If you haven't heard them you should go and download some bad ass tracks right now. I want a leopard print jacket so badly. SO BADLY.

Jesus. If Johnny looked at me like that I think I would quite possibly have a heart attack. Or faint. Or do something embarassing and random to spoil the moment. This photo is so amazing on so many levels. Babe level especially.
